| I have a neat link to share but don't seem to know how to do that and the help page doesn't list that as a topic.
Can someone tell me how to post a link? New thread to follow once I have that info. Scott |

| Scott, what I do is describe the features of the link in the text here......xxxxx Then, I look beneath this block, and see there Type in the link in the OPTIONAL block. such as and then in the NAME block: type in what YOU call it. That's the easiest for me since I don't know much about html code. |

| Thank you Marti and Mocc. I totally missed the Add URL box below. I guess it was just too obvious, I was looking down in the footer area. Okay, I'll try it now, watch for the new thread. Scott |

| ML, I waded throught this site. It may be more info than you want, but I just extracted a few things and put them in a text document on my desktop. I sent it to you in an email. I tried to put the instructions in this message, but it kept changing into a link!! lol I need to figure that out. http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478131 Look down the page a bit and you will se the topic "Open and close tags". The little chart tells you how to make text bold and in italics. This is another site. http://www.w3schools.com/html/ Someone else may have clearer instructions |

| Thanks, Loretta. I think your idea of a text doc on the desktop will be my solution too. Nope, I have not figured out how to put a clickable link into the body of the post, so will read your html site instructions. IF ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THE DIRECTIONS..... |

| I forgot to give you the link for the smileys. There are many sites, but I have 2 I really like. http://www.smileyshut.com/ This has very girly stuff http://www.girlytags.com/ |

| moccasinlanding, this is weed's photo posting thread, but the first order of business is clickable links--it's the one I used, and if I (who have been on the internet only a year or so) can do it, so can you! |

| Scott, no, you did not miss seeing the link URL box and name box. For some inexplicable reason, they do not show up at all when you first post a new thread. You can get to them by hitting "Preview Message" at the bottom of your original posting. When you do that, the little box below the preview, where you can make changes to your posting, has the URL and Name boxes. I have no idea why they do it this way, but they do at Garden Web! So just remember to preview your topic thread and add your link on the preview page. I have gotten good at the HTML code for putting clickable links in my message, but I have never yet gotten the photos to show right in the thread. Lets see if I can tonight. |
