Hello, I like my 8 x 10 ft rug. The walls are SW vanilian, undertone umber/gold. I want to buy a new sofa and don't know what color fabric to buy to create a pleasing room. living room is 12x15 ft, south facing windows. Thanks, Carol

here is info from the website where I bought my rug:
Style: Classic
Primary color: Green
Secondary colors: Doe Skin, Parchment, Desert Sand, Dark Beige, Sienna, Raw Umber

I think any light soft color like pink, light green may be perfect.

I'd go with the tan color from the rug as long as it is darker than your walls. It's a color that never seems to go out of style and works with so many other colors.

A deep burgundy or even wine color would be beautiful with the rug and walls. Or, I'd go dark taupe-y brown.

I agree with a camel color or darker couch. I have the vanilla walls and my couches are camel color with one darker chair. It looks great.
