Smith & Hawken Reincarnated

I received the latest copy of Southern Living yesterday. And also Coastal Living. Inside was a big surprise for me, the presence of ads for Smith & Hawken products.

I had no idea that Target was the benefactor of the former classy company name! Did anyone else know of this?

When S&H had their final sale of teak furniture items, I bought several of their small benches and plant stands. I do love teak wood.

It seems that much of the S&H product line will not be in the Target stores, but sold online.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case there were other fans of S&H on the forum.

Target always had a small section of S&H items, even when the S&H retail store was still open in our town. It was restricted mainly to doormats, wreaths, small garden decor, etc. Maybe a boot scraper. I don't know how that arrangement worked. But I haven't been in that part of Target lately, so I don't know if it is still there.

It is in our Target, although the stuff isn't all the same quality as it used to be.

Jakabedy, see, you knew more about it than I did to begin with! :) Some of their garden items were online at Target yesterday. And they also have two of the teak series of outdoor furniture. I have not found the durable wicker chairs though. My friend bought a pair of them, styled like wicker wingbacks, oh goodness over twenty years ago, and they are still like new in her living room. I wish I had been able to get some in those days.

And like Writersblock indicates, I'm afraid that some of the items are not the quality of the old S&H products. I would like to see the real copper and wrought iron planters which are pricey. I would like to SEE them before I consider springing for any one of them. Even a small one.
