Take time to remember

It seems like the older I get, The more I understand the significance of what our men and women in uniform have done for this country over the years. Yesterday, we had someone give a talk on Memorial Day, and then I played Taps. People stood up as I played, starting with the oldest folks. I could hear people sniffling. I was so moved, I had a hard time playing my trumpet. I belong to a group of volunteers called Bugles Across America, which provides buglers to play Taps at military funerals. Too many of these funerals are being performed with a recording of Taps, or a fake bugle with a speaker in it playing Taps. If you ever hear of a military funeral that needs a bugler, contact this organization. This is a FREE service!

I didn't mean to make a commercial out of this! Just take time today to remember those who have fallen so that we can remain a free country, and thank those who have served, or are still serving.
