Celebrating Summer Solstice?

In some other countries they celebrate Midsummer, and especially Midsummer Nights Eve. I like that concept, but in my family we've never done it - probably because it's so close to July 4. Do you do anything special to celebrate the longest day of the year?

I'm with Jo! It is so darn hot here that if I could hibernate, I would, LOL!

Eloise, I have had a hard time staying indoors because of my littlest grandson - they are from Florida and 'heat' is their middle name - they stay in the water all their waking hours, so they stay cool that way - I just wilt in the heat!
