Comments (7)Bacterial spot and shot-hole are synonyms on the east coast. On the west coast, shot-hole means coryneum blight. You have east or west coast shot-hole there: either bacterial spot or coryneum blight. I have not figured out how to reliably tell the two apart, but whatever you have looks just like what I had. Your copper sprays are the right treatment. It took me about three years of copper to nail the bad case I had so just keep at it. I would also start using dilute copper sprays through shuck split or even a bit later; I was doing that during the peak of badness for me. I thought I would never get rid of it but now I don't ever see more than a couple holes. Young trees get it much worse so it gets established that way. Scott...See MoreAm I being irrational? (vacation ordeals with SO's DD)
Comments (16)thanks everyone, I go on trips with my DD21, we went to Paris this April break. And DD went wiht dad's family on a trip during her other break in the winter. In neither case DD forced herself on neither me nor her dad. But both I and X have more vacations that that. It would be normal if his DD would spend SOME of the vacations wiht him, but it is all of the vacation he has. KKNY DD27 and her mother had fights on travels, during those fights SO was forced to take sides (he took daughter's side), all those fights were bad on a relationship. It almost feels ot me that she was trying to stand between her dad and mom. Of course that's not what caused a divorce but I believe it contributed to it. woudl she stand between me and him? It is entirelly possible imamommy that she is trying to do just that, but it's been like this always. the only change is that SO finally stopped going just him and her and now she goes with us (or actually the way it looks like they go two of them and I am dragging along LOL). KKNY we went on many trips and vacations together but as we got more serious, DD27 wants to be wiht us all the time and since she is always here whenever dad has vacations, we simply cannot go anywhere anymore. i was looking forward to July vacation but now we can't even do that. On few occassions we planned on going somwhere ona trip, but DD changed her plans or alternated them, left earlier than plannned or flew in alter etc. My SO also cancelled his trip to college reunion past winter because DD27 decided to visit the last moment (when she found out he goes to reunion). Bizzare....See Moredown to the nitty-gritty - must confirm asap
Comments (11)Mom2lilenj - you're asking why the peninsula counter is so deep, right? The stove wall counter is the standard 24" deep. The peninsula is 48" deep to allow for standard 24" base cabs on the prep side, and 24" deep drawers under the hutch for "information" purposes.Originally there were going to be drawers and cabinets all along the peninsula on the information side, but we scrapped that plan, but we still want the deep drawers under the hutch for non-food storage. Also, I think with the main sink on the one-level peninsula, I need a 48" deep counter so nothing gets splattered on the other side, right? Rhome, I will ask gc if we can move range 3" to the right. This would definitely improve symmetry. Also, when you say the tall cab on the right should line up with the sink wall of cabinets, you're talking about the base cabinets, right? Right now, the left edge of the right glass cab lines up exactly with the corner of the cabinet run. Are you saying if it was widened a bit to the left, then it will look too heavy? Any other thoughts on the corner cab versus base drawers to the right of the range? And if I stand firm and do drawers, any options besides a void? I thought there might be room for a baking tray pullout right after the corner and just before the trash. (there are 12" between the corner and the trash pullout.) It doesn't seem to me that I would lose a whole lot of functional space if I did this; just the far back corner and without a lazy susan, am I really going to use it much anyway?...See MoreI need more single or semi singles
