Forgetting the feeling

I'm beginning to forget what it feels like to be held in a loving embrace.
To have someone whisper in my ear.
To spoon in a warm bed on a cold night.
To sit and watch tv with someone's head in my lap, stroking his hair.
To look deeply into his eyes and see the innermost workings of his soul.
To be able to sit together quietly, and not have to speak.
To be able to make his eyes roll back in his head with just a word, a look, or a small puff of air in his ear.......
It's almost not a bad thing. If I don't have it, maybe it would be better not to remember what it is like. Maybe I won't miss it so much..........

RE: Forgetting the feeling

Hi, Jean.......I am 3 weeks divorced, but I, too, am forgetting the feeling since my husband and I were not close the last couple of years of our marriage. I wish I could get away from the feelings you expressed in your posting. What do you do?

RE: Forgetting the feeling

susie...what do I do? I suffer. I don't know that there's anything to do about it. I don't want to be with someone just to have those feelings back. I want to be with someone AND have those feelings back. I wait.
