Sewing 101 help, please and thank you

This is a tee shirt on it's side. It's one of those tee shirts that you send in your picture and they put it on a tee shirt for you.

I don't like it that it's a white tee and the picture got rotated and I don't like that either. I want to cut out the print part and sew it on the front of another non-white tee that I'll get. That's what I'm thinking right now.

How would YOU sew it on?

I'd like a basic answer but also some ideas about how it might be made to look its best on the front of a shirt. It's 7.5 inches by 9.5 inches.

Any ideas?

I'm not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination, except awkward by hand, but if it got to be complicated, I'd find one. I don't think I'd care if it looked amateurish.

Thanks.

Hay
