I wouldn't go with any fusable webbing that requires heat you will either melt or damage the faux leather. I think you need a glue. What kind I don't know. Only a look at different ones and what they will glue together will get you the right one.

I agree with "oil painter" do not use fusible with any faux leathers, or velvets.
Try doing a google on stabilizers for faux leather etc.
You might even try an interfacing to make the applique more stable, this would be stitched on prior to the embellishments.
I have used a product called Fabri Tac it is wonderful it is washable but does not guaranty dry clean.
They make the same product below it is suppose to be both.

Thanks very much for the help wanted to make sure I was just not missing something. I like the glue, I think it does a nice job but it is getting costly! 8 or so $ for a 4 0z. bottle adds up. Does anyone know about heat transfer vinyl? I have looked into it a bit but it seems a bit....unimpressive, I need something with an actual faux leather like appearance, kind of a textured distressed look leather-like I suppose, do they make iron on faux leather fabric? I have looked and can find nothing.

Something like this? I've used a similar product for large appliques and found one can goes a long way (I still have a lot left). My caveat would be that if it's a contact adhesive like the one I used where you spray both surfaces, that you cut a stencil to protect the main fabric from overspray as otherwise it stays tacky (might not if you washed it, I haven't washed the item I used it for so I can't say if the overspray washes out or not).
