Strange Fabric Problem

Hi...I am new to the forum. I am having a problem with a blazer I was hoping someone could tell me what is happening. The threads of the fabric (not seam) on the blazer are pulling up, or popping out. The thread is not breaking so it is like U shaped threads sticking out of the fabric. My first guess is a tension issue when the thread was manufactured/woven. The fabric is wool, it was not a fuzzy wool but a smooth business suit wool with different colors woven together to make the fabric. Ie: navy fabric with red woven in and the red is puckering out of the fabric. I appreciate any advice or ideas on this one.

From what you said,it sounds like you have one of those fabrics that isn't closely woven and what you are seeing is what is called snags.They happen when you unknowingly brush up against something and the fabric catches,and pulls loose.If this is the case,you can go to a notions counter at the fabric store or walmart and they sell this tool that you can repair it with.The name of the tool escapes me at the moment,but if you explain to them what you need it for,they'll be able to help you.
