Could have been....tho moths prefer animal products (wool from sheep etc) I received an old Mouton coat to alter for a customer. She had it in a plastic bag. It laid here for 3-4 days and when I took it out to begin work, I was appalled to see little worms falling on my floor. The moth eggs in the fur had hatched. Back into the bag and returned to owner!! However, silverfish could be the culprit, & there is a camel cricket that eats carpets and draperies..not the kind that chirps. They take up residence in dark crawl spaces and reproduce in old rotted wood. We've experienced them and they are very hard to get rid of. If you still can, I would bring this to the attn of the retailer and ask for replacement. Your pix certainly looks like the fabric was gnawed on by something. So sorry for your troubles.

Thanks for your reply. The drapes are hanging in a sun room not a dark area.. If we did have moths in the house they would have eaten the drapes that we have on the other windows. There must have been some type of larvae or worms in the drapes when they were shipped to us. I've never seen silverfish.

These were purchased online through Factory Direct Drapes ( Factorydirectdrapes.com). I send an email 3 days ago but, have not received a reply. Hopefully they will stand behind their product and give us a refund.
