Padded Shoulders

Posted by chris-e (My Page) on

Hi everyone.

this is the first time I have posted here, I usually hang out in the hosta forum.

I just bought a blazer with padded shoulders. I love the blazer, it even came in tall! But I have very broad shoulders and when I put this on, I look like a linebacker! It is a lined, wool blazer, very structured,

If I decide to keep it, I need to have the cuffs taken up a bit, so I would get the tailor to take out the shoulder pads, if possible,.

Sorry this is so wordy, Please let me know your thoughts,
Thanks!

chris

It's possible. I hate shoulder pads...take all mine out...like you it makes me look weird as I'm tall & thin...I look like a wedge.

I automatically do shoulder pad removal on all jackets. I'm broad-shouldered and don't like looking like an linebacker.

I may replace them with a very thin shoulder shaper, but that "Dynasty" era padding was fugly.

I hate the big shoulder pads also, but I need something because I have a shoulder separation and one slopes. What is a shoulder shaper? Thanks Barb
