If it's what I think it is, I'd make an a-line skirt as a starter piece. It could also be used for pants. The bonding gives the wool more strength and less itch and less likely to stretch out or get "knees" in slacks as I recall.

I remember that stuff ... it was supposed to eliminate the need for linings and underlining, but was thick and clunky when seamed. I made a couple of things and went back to the "real thing".

If you just started sewing, start with firmly woven cottons until you get the hang of seams, marking and layout.

Then go on to the harder stuff, and that bonded stuff is not easy to handle.
