Lights for sewing

I need a good light for my sewing area, and have looked at the Ott-Lites at JoAnn's. Have any of you had experience with these, or with another type of light?

I have 2 Ott lights and I love them. I wish I had about 4 more, frankly. I could use one next to the sofa and another one across the workroom for that sewing area, 2 is not enough! I think you'll be thrilled with one, maybe Santa could arrange it!

Oh, I have the floor model and a table top one, the task lamp. They are both about 4-5 years old and using the original bulbs.

I agree with flamingo. Have 3 of these lights and love them.

Thanks to both of you for responding -- your input really helps!

Another Ott light lover.

I've got the floor lamp Ott lite. Love it! Bit when I worked at Joann's. Buy it when they have a 1/2 price sale or you have a coupon. I just received my flyer for the day after Thanksgiving. The floor Ott lite, 18 watt, is on sale for $84.99 (regular price 189.99. If you buy it on Friday morning between 6 am and noon there is a 20% off coupon. That brings down the price down to $67.99. An early Xmas gift to yourself?
