Well, that certainly gives me a "duh" moment. Saw a dishwasher rack at the TS - never thought about what a great thread holder it would make. I will remember that next time I see one.

Danaoh - I know exactly what you mean about a "duh" moment. When I was given the drying rack all I could see was thread cones on the dowels.....great idea for the dishwasher rack....thanks for sharing your thoughts. Budster

Mother uses something similar (without the dowels) that is maybe for drying the nipples, anyhow it is perfect for storing embroidery thread spools/cones.

Also, we had a new diva born yesterday. So now the count is 6! I'm excited about the possibilities of halloween themed b'day parties in a few years!

I bought this thing at the .99cent store awhile back,think it is a dish rack of some sort also.It's wood,looks like a ladder,but also has 16 pegs on it.I thought i'd use it for my thread when i got it.Then i found it's a great portable holder for my cross stitch floss which i have on these round donut looking holders.I'm working on a big CS project now and this holds all my floss,so it's easy to cart around .

It would also be great for cone thread,but that i keep in a drawer.
