I decided to make a jumper for my 5 year old granddaughter.I am absolutely unable to iron the wrinkle out where fabric was folded. The one down the middle. My mother always used vinegar but I'm afraid that might affect the color. If anyone has advice I would love to hear it. By the way the fabric is a cotton blend.

it should wash out when washed. I tend to prewash all washable fabrics before laying out the pattern. Hope this helped.

vinegar is a natural fabric softner (sp?), you could wash the jumper and put vinegar in the fabric softner compartment of your washer... maybe that would help? Stacy

Use a rag to dab white vinegar down the crease front and back, then steam iron.

Thank you for all your help. I have used my machine through the years but this is my first garment to make in forever. I just want it to be right.
