curtain lining material

Hello, I am a really bad sewer, but I manage to "fake" simple panel curtains (you can look at them but don't touch or they will fall apart ;) I've never even thought of using lining before....until today.

I bought some GORGEOUS material today...it is a woven material, light blue/gold of a medium weight, and I am thinking of lining it to protect the material from the sun. I'm not so concerned about keeping light out or anything, but don't want my material to get bleached.

What kind of lining should I use? 100% cotton, cotton blend, blackout? Or can I just use any cheap cream coloured material and that will be enough to protect my face material.

Any help is greatly appreciated! THANKS
