Let's see if someone can answer this question!

I have saved all of our three children clothes through the years to make each one a quilt and now it's finally coming along except for one problem. I was originally going to iron the squares on fabric (I know, shame on me)and did a big stack with the fusible interfacing and changed my mind to do it the right way.

Now, when sewing through the fabric that has that fusible interfacing on it, my sewing machine is skipping stitches.

I can't take those squares out, there are just too many. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
