Any ideas for what to do with my Sarongs?

I bought several sarongs thinking it would be easy to sew a caftan or a wrap-around dress but I fiddled with them a little and really can't figure out how to construct a garment out of them. I don't want anything fancy, and I will only be wearing them around the house. Showing a little leg wouldn't be a bad thing and the back can be a little exposed if required.
I bought two of each color because I'm a 2X and thought I might need to put two together to get enough fabric - especially for the caftan. Each one has fringe on each short end, but I don't mind cutting that off if need be. I didn't pay much for these sarongs, and because of this they are only printed on one side. Some of them have matching borders on the short end (where the fringe is) and others have one border along the long edge.

Does anyone have any easy-sew ideas for me? I haven't done any sewing in a while, but I feel like I can pick it up again fairly easily.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
Karen

Take a look at some patterns and use the sarongs as fabric for the pattern pieces.

I just googled sarong images because I couldn't remember if they were a certain shape. I've never had one, but I do remember the wrap halter dresses shown in the images linked below were very popular in the 70s. I just assumed the gals back then were just buying a length of fabric and using it for their dresses.

Here is a link that might be useful: sarong images

Thank you for the great ideas. I've got 8 sarongs (4 pair) so I will be able to try several ideas!
