The component with the "fan blades" that are visible through the slots is, I believe, actually the motor. It looks like it is probably attached to the rest of the mechanism by a drive belt that is hidden behind the area where the motor is attached to that plate on the side of the macine.

However, machines can get out of adjustment and bind (make weird noises, etc.) because the actual "sewing parts" are no longer lined up correctly.

This may be a job for a repair person. I know there are some sewers who are very good at taking apart sewing machines, adjusting them, and putting them back together. I hope someone with more experience in that area can answer your question. I am not one of those people; at the first sign of trouble, I take mine to the dealer where I bought them. Most sewing machine dealers who do repairs will work on all brands of machines.

Also check sewing and vacuum shops that do repairs on all makes of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners to find a repair person.

Hello what type oil did you use? If it had varnish in it it's locked up your drive. Unplug machine remove top lightly spray WD 40 into shaft area front to back,be careful not to get any on motor wait 20 min and take hairdryer blow med hot air into machine(I know sounds crazy)
turn wheel by hand back and forth do not force.

First of all, do you have a manual? If not, you should be able to get one from the manufacturer (or on ebay)

Second, you should ONLY use sewing machine oil - did you use sewing machine oil or something else?

Third, when was it last serviced? A machine that is used regularly should be regularly serviced (I take mine in annually)
