I sew but never really thought much about how to do this and my mind is at a complete blank.. I want to make a large round skirt for a Bed Doll.. I will use a doll some what bigger than a Barbie doll and I want to be able to sit her on the pillows once the bed is made.. so I want a large round skirt that I can add lace or ruffels to. lots and lots of ruffels and lace.. any ideas how to start this skirt so it will fit the waist of the doll, would you do it in parts.. like pie shapes and sew them together.. so the waist is small and the bottom is big and around.. almost like a big formal type dress..
