Drapery ideas

I am making drapes of a tapestry like material and decided not to embelish them with anything except pretty pleats at the top. Since the material is thick I opted to hang them from rings. What kind of pleats would still look nice on drapes that will be open most of the time. (55 inches scruched down to 18) The fabric is light colored so I think the pleats will really show up. Thanks for your help.

Because of the thickness of the fabric, maybe try goblet pleats? It won't put as much fabric into the pleat and is a unique look. Good luck and have fun with it.

Since tapestry is kind of thick, I was thinking inverted pleats could look nice.
