TWO parcels arrived today.......yup TWO. The first one was waiting for someone to figure out the postal code...seeing as it was missing one number........and the second one arrived....it was bonus day I tell you. Now all you peeps are wondering what could the parcels have been.....let me tell you our Kathyg is one clever little crafter.....she sewed me two of the cutest click bags ever...so called click bags cause they snap open and shut...which is what I've been doing with them.....click, click, click, click. I don't know if Kathyg made the pattern herself but it is such a cute idea. I must get DH to take a picture. Kathy what can I say but thank you so very much for this kind gift...just right for summer and each time I snap that baby open I will think of you.....Budster, blushing she's so overwhelmed.

Awww, gee, your mailman will be disappointed that you won't be there to greet him everyday!
Glad you got them and even happier you like them. Someone else made one and showed it to me (she took a class). The next week when I saw her I gave her a ziploc baggy, "What's this for?" she asked. Empty your click bag, I want to copy it. So, copy it I did, made about 4, then looked at it and said I can do this a bit better and I'd like it a bit smaller too and that is what you have, so it is kinda my design, but someone elses idea for the "click" of it.
I've made about 100 so far. A local store would like to sell them!
Enjoy Budster,

Here are the directions. If you have any problems with it or questions, just email me thru my member page.
I will try to take a photo and post in the next day or two. These are really quick and cute.

Supplies needed to make 2 bags:
2 fat quarters
One 3/4" by 16" metal tape measure
Directions:
Need 2 different fabrics cut to 9" by 18" each
Cut 4 of lining fabric 4" by 4".
Fold purse pieces in half, right sides together, sew sides.
Make diagonal corners and stitch.
Turn outer fabric right sides out. Tuck lining fabric into outer fabric, right sides together, pin.
Fold over top edge, 1" and pin.
Fold over top edge, 1 1/4" again and pin.
Take 4" by 4" fabrics and fold to make tabs. Tuck into turned over edge.
Stitch around edge to make casing, leaving open about 1 1/2" for inserting tape measure.
At this point I sew down the one side seam to keep the 2 pieces of tape apart when inserted.
Open your tape measure all the way and using old, crappy scissors cut it away from the case. Cut one end rounded. Hold it up to the bag and see where you need to make the next cut for the length needed. Cut other end rounded. Slide tape into sleeve with the curved edge of the tape towards the opening of the bag. Do the same with the other side.
Finish sewing the 1 1/2" opening (the tape folds easily so you can do this), then sew up and down the side seam to keep the tapes from shifting.
Pull tabs to open the bag. Hear the "click"?
Warning: when cutting the tape measure you can get very tiny slivers that are very sharp. Be careful not to get any on the floor. I cut mine while holding it down in a trash bag in a can.

Oh yeah, the tabs are made from the excess 4" you cut off the fat quarters. Cut 2 - 4" x 4" pieces. Fold in half and press. Take the now 2" x4" pieces and fold into a triangle (it's a quilting thing, maybe called a prairie point?), then insert raw edge into turned over edge. Much easier to show than for me to explain.

Kathyg....bag 3 just arrived. DD has taken possession (she just had some surgery and is now happily clicking her possessions into bag 3, taking her mind off the trama of surgery - that alone is worth a mega thank you!) So thank you thank you.......can you hear us clicking away up here? Budster
