My mother-in-law passed away on Monday. She had an old sewing machine in her bedroom that was given to me. All I can find is a # that appears to be the serial number underneath the machine (615074). On the front of the machine it says Super De Luxe Precision Sewing Machine, made in Japan, and it is black. Does anyone know anything about this machine and who makes it? She and her husband bought all of their appliances from Sears, so I'm wondering if it is a Sears machine. I don't have an instruction manual. I'm sure she had one, but it is hard to tell where it is or what she did with it. She was 92 and hadn't used that machine for years. Boy... did I have some cleaning to do LOL. I know the belt has about had it as it has some cracks in it and it is loose (stretched). I don't even know if I have it threaded right but the hand wheel won't budge at all when I push on the control petal, which is on the side of the cabinet. Hope someone can help me. Thank you.
