setting in sleeve

Help. I started ripping a sleeve out of a jacket to do an alteration. I only ripped the sleeve cap and a little more down the sides. Now I decided the alteration is too ambitious and I want to put the sleeve back as it was. The sleeve cap is too big for the armhole. How do you ease in a sleeve?

Put your finger behind presser foot stitch inside of seam allowance. This will crimp the fabric forming an ease stitch, it slightly gathers.
You can also do a google on easing a sleeve.

You just need to know that you MUST keep the edges of the armhole and the sleeve even. Start by pinning it in. Sew slow.
