I ordered a serger online because it was a good price and free shipping! It's a Brother and it has performed well for me since I got it years ago. It is a 4-thread model, basic serger.

You may find some reviews of sergers at PatternReview.com. I have added a link. You will need to know the brand of the serger you want to review. I think they are listed together with regular sewing machines.

I have a Brother 3034D and it's a good one.Before that i had a white 534 for over 25 years that was a real work horse,but it finally bit the dust and they no longer made the parts for it,hence the Brother.

I've had a BabyLock Imagine for quite a few years now. Not only is it a wonderful machine, it's actually FUN to thread! I don't think many sergers could be described like that. lol
I've only had limited experience with other sergers but I wouldn't trade my Imagine for any of them!
Any serger that is fun to thread is worth serious money!
