Yoweeeee! Big sale on patterns at Jo-Ann's

Hrm--I posted this yesterday, but it didn't show up.

I went to Jo-Ann's yesterday (first time, b/c Beverly's is close to home, so I usually go there).

Yoweeee! I am so glad I went!

All the Simplicity patterns are ONE DOLLAR this weekend! This was great for a beginner like me, because I was able to buy a bunch of "that would be nice to try" kinds of patterns, without worrying about spending a lot of money on them. So I got some tops, pj's for my kids, bags/totes, stuffed animals, and, just to dream about: a regency style gown (I'm an Austen fanatic).

It was such fun shopping!

I need to go back tomorrow for fabric (40% off)

Oh yes and then comes the - I only bought a few yards of the sale stuff dear, and the savings were incredible! As you bring one small bag of fabric in the door past DH sitting watching the news....little does he suspect the big bag still in the trunk waiting for a moment when he is looking the other way!

Bummer! I sure wish I had not missed that one! I need to check more faithfully on the weekly sales. Couple of weeks ago Hobby Lobby had McCalls on sale at $1.99 and I got a top pattern that I was wanting. Sure would have liked to get in on the Simplicity sale though as there are several patterns of theirs that I would like. Hope I catch it next time!
