How is this shirt supposed to go on as a pullover??

Here is my next hoped-for project (see link below).

It recommends lightweight linen for fabric, so I got a linen/rayon blend. I want to make D, with the sleeves.

Woven fabrics don't stretch like knits. This shirt has no fasteners at all. It is a pullover. Will a woven fabric pullover go over one's head and shoulders???

Not that I have enough fabric, but, for future reference, could something like this be cut on the bias so that it is stretchy?

Hoping to avoid excessive disappointment this time around....

Looks like it would totally work, but I'd be a concerned about gapping @ the armholes if the fabric is too stiff....

You could add a slit & a button& loop or hook & eye @ the back if it's too to snug get on comfortably.
Sometimes the only way to find out is to make it. Maybe in a some cheap fabric - before going w/ the 'good' fabric....?

Look like it would go over the head very easily as the neckline isn't too high, nor too low,and the rest of the top is full as well.

If you have some old sheets, use one of those to make a sample out of.

Have some Faith in yourself,You can do this!!!!!

Know this post is a little late, but it will work.
Measure your head, then the opening at neckline on pattern minus the seam allowances.
