Antique 'New Automatic' treadle machine

I recently helped a friend get her grandmother's "New Automatic" treadle sewing machine up and running. I'm familiar with White and Singer, but have never heard of New Automatic before. Can anyone tell me anything about it or give me a shove in the right direction so I can learn more?

There is a great Yahoo group for 'treadlers' like us! Lots of info and history among the leaders.

My old treadle is a Singer and one of my favorites.

I can tell you the "new automatic" on the singer sewing machine refers to the automatic locking drawers pn the cabinet. I lnow because I have one handed down from my Mom
