I am wanting to make a red felt tree skirt.

I have been a collector for many years of Christmas tree ornaments. Hallmark, Enesco, Carlton etc. Enough to decorate a 7.5 ft. tree with at least 2 ornaments on each branch. It's quite an ordeal each year putting up the tree, lights and then decorations. This year I want to downsize. Maybe a 3.5 or 4 ft. tree that will sit on a round end table.

I remember from years back if you measured your table from the center to the lenghth you wanted the tree skirt to be all you had to do was roll up the fabric and cut to those dimensions.

Now I can't remember how to fold the fabric.

Does anyone make tablecloths using this method? How do you do it? I'm really having a heck of a time trying to figure this out? Please help!
