Can you find matching/coordinating fabric of the same weight and just make new sleeves?

Or, maybe add a band of fabric onto the sleeves and then add a pocket to match the bands?

Insert a band of blending or contrasting material into the sleeve, so that the old hem becomes the new hem or cuff.

Or say "I'm in my seventies, and I have 70-year old arms!" and ignore it.

thanks for the suggestions, I like the idea of adding the band and using the old hem as the new cuff, and also the pocket. Knew you brains would come up with great ideas for me. Had taken out some contrasting fabric and didn't like the way it looked by just stitching it on the existing cuff, but like the idea of inserting the band. Thanks to all who have answered.

I like the idea of having a roll up sleeve extension of contrasting fabric.....with a button tab added at the 3/4 length area..or just beyond the elbow...the button tab would hold the folded back fabric and button upwards toward the sleeve cap (I know what I mean but I hope you can visualize it). I would make the button tap of fabric like the main body of the blouse - a wee bit off the hem or an area not usually noticed.

I like the idea of the button tab. Understand your idea, have a few tops with the button tab. Going to start working on my shirt today. Sorry I can't post the end result, I don't own a camera . Thanks to each of you that replied. Going to use your suggestions.

Just a note to let you all know that I followed your advice and very pleased with my new shirt. Didn't take that long to make the changes once I got my thoughts together. I inserted the contrasting material on sleeve, also did a button tab, I took the pockets off and used some of the material for the tabs, and stitched the contrasting material on the pockets and replaced them on the shirt. Thanks to all of you that gave me advice.
