I am new to sewing and can see the limitations of home machines and the electronics can break and you have nothing.
A decent machine is 250. I looked on the net extensively and if you want a machine that will sew everything, you might as well buy a semi commercial rig that can sew all the way to light leather. No electronics and mostly just straight and zig zag .This company seems to have the only affordable,Sailrite.
The old Phaff s are hard to find and not cheaper and are old.
The other commercials like Consew are wildly expensive.
The Cobras are the best but still thousands and not necessary
unless you are a saddle maker.
This rig, the LSZ seems to be the best all around for hard farm use and all around.
What do you think??? new for 700 and used for probably 500.
Would you buy one???
