It is a shame that fabric stores have gone away. The ones remaining either carry a lot of nonsewing junk, or just junk fabrics. Don't think you are missing something at Hancocks. They are almost as bad as Joanns.
I have almost given up on sewing alltogether. It has become so difficult to find anything decent to sew with.
If you do find something decent, it may cost $15 to $50 a yard! Having to pay upwards of fifty bucks just for the fabric is just out of the ball field for me.
Most times, you just don't find anything, decent or junk.
What in the world are people doing with all that ugly fleece? I rarely see anyone actually wearing it. I suspect that most of the things made with fleece end up at the Goodwill. I have never seen anything more ugly wrapped around a bolt!
