New Serger

Well i did it,went and bought a new serger today.I got the Brother 3034,2-4 thread.Has differential feed,has the free arm.Later on i'll get the Blind hemming foot and the gathering foot.There are a few more feet available,but those are the 2 that i would use the most.I will go pick it up on saturday,can't wait.

Woohoo - congrats Kathi! Enjoy your new toy. I have a very basic White serger and as far as I can tell, it doesn't have other feet available. I think all it can do is overcasting and rolled hems. But it has differential feed and it works well, so I'm happy.

Which White do you have?? I had the white 534 until it finally broke a few weeks ago.Had it just a couple months shy of 25 years.

Congrats, Kathi! You'll have fun with your new toy. Sergers open up a whole new world. A couple of books I have that are good: "Creative Serging" by Nancy Bednar & Anne van der Kley; "Serge With Confidence" (softcover) by Nancy Zieman of Nancy's Notions; "Serger Secrets" by Griffin, Hastings, Mercik, Vivian & Weiland.

I have several books on serging,as this isn't my first serger.I just hope this one last as long as my 1st one did.Actually hope i last as long,or close to it anyway as my first serger.LOL,LOL
