I would like to make a headboard by covering foam with fabric and propping it up against the wall. It would rest on the frame of a platform bed. I was thinking of getting 54' x 24' foam and covering it so it would resemble a bench cushion. Does this sound workable? Also, should I wrap the foam with batting or something else to make the edges slightly rounded?

Yes it should work and yes you should wrap the foam in batting before covering it. You can also put tabs on the pillows(like the curtains) and hang it from a curtain rod above your bed. Bonnie

Yes, use the batting to soften the look. You can also use and electric knife to cut down sharp corners, just be sure of what you want before cutting. Foam is $$$. Kathy G in MI
