Help please

I have a White Quilt n' sew 1730. I attempted to use it tonight to sew something for my husband and I am running into problems.

When I thread my needle and spin it so that it will catch the bobbin thread the needle thread never slips around to catch it. It's not even catching the main thread so I have no hope of it catching the bobbin because it's not working!

I am really upset because I can't figure out what it could be. I did open it up and clean the bobbin area thinking maybe this was why the thread wasn't catching to go around but that did nothing.

Does anyone have any advice???

Try having a little slack in the needle thread. If you hold it taut it won't pick up the bobbin thread.

Make sure your needle is inserted correctly, and the machine is threaded correctly.

you say the bobbin is not working....is the thread from the bobbin wound in the correct direction out of the bobbin? Not sure if I am saying this right but what I mean is If you get the bobbin in backwards, you will never get the needle thread to pick it up.

Murphy is right, most likely the bobbin is in backwords or threaded backwords.
