Looking for red/white trim

My son's baseball team decided to purchase some special trim and have it attached to the grey pants. I cannot find this trim anywhere. The pants with the trim are 3 times as expensive as the plain ones.

I have searched everywhere. The trim is red and white stripe. 5/8 inch wide. The stripes run side by side (red on the left and white on the right) It feels like it is cotton. The closest thing I have found is 7/8 inch ribbon that is double stripe.

No baseball pants on the market match this stripe. Since it was purchased by the team they got it somewhere but won't tell me. I think they make $$ off the pants with the special stripe. (My son also needs a different style with shorter leg so their pants never work for him)

Any ideas would be helpful.

I feel your pain! It's frustrating when folks decide to do something like that, and charge more than some parents can afford (or WANT to afford!).

Is it possible to get red ribbon and white ribbon that are the approximate width, and attach it to the pants? I'm thinking you could use stitch-witchery to iron the two ribbons on, and then use a small zig-zag stitch on the machine to attach it more permanently.

Donna, I am thinking about trying red and white ribbons. Since the trim is almost impossible to find. :)

I've been racking my brain for the co. that makes this trim. Used to order from them but I just can't remember who. There was only one co. we could get it from.

I do know it's very hard to find by the yard in a retail store, most is sold to mfrs. It comes in endless color/stripe combos....
