What skill level needed 4 china storage cases

Those quilted, fabric, china storage cases with the zippers and piping. Would a regular sewing machine work for quilted fabric? Not heavily padded quilt fabric. I am looking around for someone in my area to come in and tutor me, I'm a quick learn. Is this a big process or require skill level? Thanks!

Like anything else, skill comes from practice and experience. Have you ever used a sewing machine before?

Applying a zipper and piping to a round case is not a project for a beginner. Not impossible, but more for someone with a medium skill level, a lot of patience and good sense of spacial awareness.
