Hi - I'm an avid sewer and I've created a pattern for a knit short sleeve shirt. I'm looking for a stiffer collar and collar stand. My question is can you use fusible interface on a knit or is this a no-no? I'm not interested in using Tricot for two reasons: A) it's not stiff enough and B) the collar and collar stand doesn't need to stretch anyway. Has anyone used fusible interfacing on knits with desired results? Or can anyone think of any reason you shouldn't? (the ONLY concern I noticed was it was difficult to get it to fuse to the knit, other than that I was pleased with the results). Thank you!
