Shoulder support to make.....

Thought I would share instructions on how to make a shoulder support to relieve stress/strain when we are busy at the sewing machine or other.

The shoulder support I made has loops for arms and hangs on your back.

1. A friend gave me about a 3 lb. ankle weight. (think she bought at thrift store for $1)

2. I made a rectangle bag to slide the weight in.

3. Need 2 lengths of scuba diving or belt elastic about 2 1/2" wide and long enough to make 2 loops for arms. Length of each depends on how high or low you want the weight to hang in back. I like top of weight to hang a few inches below bottom of shoulder blade.

4. Sew loops of elastic to top edge of rectangle bag at both long ends. Both ends of each loop sew in same place.

5. Insert ankle weight. Stitch end closed.

6. Sew a ribbon or something across from strap to strap in the back about shoulder blade height to keep straps from falling off arms.

7. Enjoy!!
