| The waist is too big in every pair of ladies pants I buy. Most of the pants do not have a centerback seam for alteration. I tried to cut through the waistband and then take the material in by gradually tapering from just above the hips to the waistband. When I do this, it looks fine. BUT when I try this on, there is a bulge just below the waistband. What am I doing wrong or is there an easier way. Thanks so much. |

| do you mean the waistband has no center back seam? you can easily create one after you detach the back waistband from the trousers. you can cut in a taper and also make the waistband smaller. then your alterations should be easier. and when you re-attach the waistband it won't look at all altered. |
