Pattern symbol--need help before cutting! :-)

Hi everyone,

I found this site through my sewing search--wow, so many great posts!

My problem is a little unique in that it pertains (as far as I know) to a particular pattern (Butterick See & Sew 5307). On the pattern pieces (front and back) for the bodice (at the neckline), there is a part that I'm not sure where to cut. I'm sewing the size 18, and the cutting line went all the way through for 16, but the cutting line for size 18 sort of stopped so there is this one final section I don't know exactly how to cut.

Sorry for sounding so muddled, but I've attached a photo of the section I'm talking about. FYI, I haven't sewn anything for well over 10 years, since my daughter was in kindergarten--even then, it was very simple dresses and shorts. She's now in college and this is a special dress where she's chosen the fabric and pattern. I'm anxious to start!

i wish I could help but the pattern pic is too fuzzy, what part of the pattern is this? Perhaps they are not cutting lines at all but notches for lining up facing?
