Altering Size of a Pillowcase

Posted by eggcream (My Page) on

I have small bed pillows and as of late, I find that the pillowcases that come in sets, or even individually, are enormous. The pillow takes up only half the case with the rest of the material sloshing around on the bed. Can anyone suggest a simple way to alter my pillowcase monsters!

Turn the cases inside out and sew the "bottom" seam, then sew one of the side seams to the correct size. Then cut off the excess.
I have a king size bed, but use regular pillows, so I'm all the time shrinking my cases.
