No help here, but equally annoyed: Sears shows the insides of Kenmore ONLY on their site. I probably will end up ordering a Kitchenaid through them, but nobody around here has the model I want, and I hate ordering such an expensive item without laying eyes on it.

I'm currently trying to buy some fuses for a golf cart charger and I came across a very similar site - with a very different URL. Then today I was shopping for something totally unrelated and another very similar site, with a very different URL, popped up with an amazing price for the item. I got one reply email from them in regards to the original order. They insisted on iTunes payment. Then when I went back to the site to try to look up my order, my user name and password do not work so I can't confirm my order. The second email has gone unanswered since Thursday evening. I would be very leery of this site AND any site that looks like it and promises such great deals.

We use a design program from Structure Studios. Pool Studio is one of their programs which can generate plan view, 3D and a "fly through" renderings. You could call them and ask if their is someone in your area who has purchased their product. Maybe more common in less conifer dominated regions of the country? Any local nursery in the mid-Atlantic will carry plain old white pines, for example. And blue spruce seedlings that are almost bound to become hideous in 20-30 years. Anyhow back to the matter at hand, I don't have time to post a long harangue like I used to (everyone breaths sigh of relief) so I'll post a short one. Plant societies in the US seem more or less like anachronistic relics to me. I wish them the best but I'm glad I didn't join any or invest much of my time into them. If there was some kind of 'power struggle' within the ACS - I mean, who knows but that is what Bill and plantkiller IL implied - it's just another sign of their ever-increasing irrelevance. There's obviously just so little 'fresh blood' and 'fresh ideas' throughout that landscape (no pun intended!) Things like this website and social media fill most, but not all, of the niches they used to fill. Horticulture itself seems at a tipping point; yes the COVID years might have renewed interest in gardening, but I really doubt the new people coming into it want to join these stuffy 'societies'. They want to browse instagram, see plants they like, and go buy them. That being said I do think it's important to contribute to the public sphere of horticulture, and at the beginning of the year I joined the Friends of the NCSU Arboretum. Yes, before I knew about their rare plant auction that just took place - It was happy timing that I got a plant I'd been looking for.
