Michelle -- are you still working on this? I have the same assignment for my daughter's class. The past few years they have included: * full formal class pic with teachers, * many candids, * individual pic of each child, * individual baby pic of each child (w/out captions -- anwer key at end, a guessing game, really), * write-ups for every grade/teacher (In Mrs. Lucy's Kindergarten class, we....), * a Remember When section, for kids to post both funny stories and on-going pass-times, * a "trends" page (names of popular artists, fashions), * poetry, artwork, etc. * a "In the year XXXX I will be ..." section for each students predictions. * a couple of pages for autographs. Any other ideas from anyone? Any other resources you've found helpful?

We are not yet thinking to go into scrapbooking business now, but I have 2 friends who try to let to know scrapbooking in our area. They teach and they have many people interested (about 50 ) and it is growing up every day. It is a first step... they had papers on local news and one of them will have a broadcast program on a local radio by the end of march. we 'll had a demonstration day in a craft shop in april, I made my site, but it is still local. It is why we try to find french people in other part of France. One of my friend will organise scrapbooking week-end for people coming outside from Lyon very soon, but we need to have a real scrapbookers community before to do a real bussiness. but maybe things can go very fast. For my own, I keep doing my computer engineer job and scrapbooking at nigth! Thank you for your advice :-)

Hi Cameron! I did a layout of my youngest son who fell asleep on the floor one afternoon after we had returned from a day at the beach. He is laying on his back, arms stretched way over the top of his head and his legs sprawled. I cut each of them in the shape of a BIG fat letter "Z" I mounted them on the page so that one small part of one "Z" overlapped the next one. I titled it "Catching some Zzzzzzzzzzz's" It turned out really well! ~Mar~

If you have many different mediums and a lot of pictures, an easy but great way to go is with a d-ring album (I recommend American Crafts and you can buy those at Hobby Lobby... watch for them at 50% off!) then purchase photo page inserts (either vertical or horizontal or both!) and then you don't have to scrapbook ALL of the photos... maybe just scrap a few of them and then all corresponding or similar photos can just be tucked into to the photo page sleeves (like a regular photo album). I did this with my "year in the life" album. I have 4x6 photo pages - both horizontal and vertical - intermixed with 12x12 scrapbook pages and even some 8 1/2x11 scrapbook pages just for fun! If you go with a D-ring album, ANY 3-hole page protector will be able to be easily inserted where ever you feel it needs to go! There should be PLENTY of room left over if your son wishes to add to it later. GOOD LUCK!
