Ours (made in their factory in China) had some issues on delivery (which I wrote about on a few threads), but nothing to the extent that yours had. I am so sorry yours arrived in such poor shape. We initially pushed for a replacement, but the company would not authorize it (a Schillig rep came to our home with the store owner to see the couch). We could have returned the couch to the store, but allowed them to try to repair/replace the problems since we really liked the couch/style and wanted to make this work. The leather specialist the store sent out did a very good job, to our pleasant surprise. Some of the packing creases did smooth out over time as well, and the cushions/fill do seem a bit more resilient than they did initially. It did take longer than expected to receive replacements for the chipped feet, and they are slightly smaller (and a different finish) than the originals, but they look fine, and aren't really visible (unless you lie on the floor and look under the couch). Overall, the repairs were done pretty much to our satisfaction, and we are very happy with our couch. If the style/model you got isn't made in Germany, I doubt they can send a replacement (of the same model). If they only make that model in China, they aren't likely to make it for you in Germany. I don't know if they'll allow you to choose a different model--one made in Germany, but it's certainly worth inquiring. You might want to try contacting W. Schillig in NC directly. Good luck!

Yes, it is a Hansgrohe Metro that I got from costco. I liked the price too. It doesn't give a really hard spray like you can sometimes get from a stand alone spray, but that doesn't bother me. I did have a problem with the spray head when it was first installed and didn't want to have to take it back to Costco, so I contacted Hansgrohe online and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. They stand behind their product. I use to do frequent searches for "hot buys" on the costco internet site. Sometimes you can pick up some really good deals. I missed a great sink by not making up my mind soon enough!

I saw these at Michael's yesterday and they were $25. Isn't that the CM price? I honestly can't remember what I paid for mine from CM!! I forgot to check the price of the replacement pages. THe only reason I prefer to buy stuff from my CMC is because after we spend $250, we get a $25 g/c (which, I'm ashamed to admit, I got after only 8 months!! My husband would die if he knew I spent that much!). So I'm always working towards that goal. :)

A cheap way to start a scrap book is to buy just a plain old 3 binder note book. Then you can go to your local craft store, or even SAMS club to buy the page protectors. The Avery glue sticks are acid free, and just buy acid free paper. Lots of times Hobby Lobby will get these on sale for half price. It doesn't matter that the note book in not acid free as the pictures will not be touching that as they are in the acid free page protectors. Don't know if this helps or not. Vicky
