Arch or cased opening between foyer and dining?

We are trying to decide whether we should put an arch between our foyer and dining room or just a cased opening. There is another arch directly in front of you leading from the foyer to the family room which I'm afraid would compete with the larger arch leading into the dining room... We have 10 ft. ceilings and currently the architect has drawn in a 10 ft arched opening flanked by two 10" diameter columns. DOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES OF WHAT THEY HAVE DONE...any ideas?
