Scrapbook paper~made to not fade?

| I bought a kit to start scrapbooking when my son was a baby and really couldn't get into it. Later on I used the paper to make nice mattes for snapshots and framed them. Like I took one of my fiance' driving his step dad's boat, made the border blue and made a sailboat, life jacket and fishing pole and fish by cutting the pieces out of the paper. Now it's about 2 years later and the paper is losing it's brightness. It's mostly the blue. I thought this stuff was made to keep for years? Am I wrong?

| no youre not wrong but you have to realize that a scrapbook page is protected by an acid free page protector also and is not left out where sun and ultraviolet lights can get to it every day either, like mats in a frame would be |
