Tape, glue, rubber cement??

| How do you paste your pictures, etc. to the page? What works best and is considered "time tested" in terms of preserve-ability?
Thanks! |

| I use a tape runner. I have bought mine from CM, but I have seen other name brands at craft stores and scrapbooking stores. They are the fastest. I used to use photo-tape, that come out on little blue squares. Those took a little longer because after you attach it to your picture, you still have to peel off the backing and stick to your album. I've used a glue stick when I first started scrapbooking and I found that if you spread it thin, everything will fall off your page. That's why I moved on to the "tape" type products. I have never used rubber cement. |

| I decided to go with rubber cement. I used wedding proofs so if I need to reorder like five years from now, the picture will hopefully peel off and reveal the reorder number on the back. |

Rubber cement is not archival and can cause brown stains and dry out so the stuff falls off. We used to use it in graphic design and many old project boards were ruined after as little as 10 years. I'd go with the tape dispenser or peel 'n stick adhesive sheets that can be cut to any size you need. Lots of people also use the xyron machines to apply adhesive to the back of their items. Karen |

| rubber cement will eat your pictures no kidding. i have used the acid free glue sticks since i started scrapping 9 years and 59 albums ago and have never had the first thing come off of the page. |
