Working for Merchandise!

Posted by GardenGhost (My Page) on

I'm quite excited! I spent the weekend helping with inventory at our local scrapbook store here. The owners couldn't afford to pay all of us cash for our work. So they agreed to pay us $7 an hour in merchandise for whatever time we worked. I earned $140!!!

Naturally, I already had in mind a few of the things I wanted to buy. So when we finished up Sunday night, some of us went ahead and shopped. I bought one of those binders that you insert different kinds of sleeves into to hold your stickers, die cuts and paper. It is so very cool! I have most of those things in a filing cabinet, but when I get them all in this binder, I'll then be portable! I've been wanting to go to cropping sessions but I can't very well drag a whole filing cabinet with me. LOL

Yep, I'm very excited!

If you have a scrapbook store nearby, you might suggest that they hire people to do inventory and trade their time for merchandise. It's a great way to get those expensive items you may not afford otherwise.

Gee, what else can I spend my gift certificate on? LOL

That sounds so cool!! For my b-day my dh gave me a $100.00 gift certificate to a scrapbook store. I went and bought 40.00 dollars worth last Sunday. I bought some eyelet items, some stickers and a big cutter. Have fun with all that.
